Malabrigo Dos Tierras
Malabrigo Dos Tierras is what happens when fine Uruguayan
merino wool and alpaca decide to become dangerously charming together.
Soft? Yes.
Drapey? Absolutely.
Capable of turning a “quick little project” into a full emotional support cardigan situation? Also yes.
This yarn has that smooth, slightly silky feel that makes stockinette look suspiciously expensive.
It’s warm without being suffocating, cozy without turning you into a human furnace, and ideal for shawls, sweaters, hats, scarves, and those projects you swear are gifts until you quietly keep them.

FAQ
- Is Dos Tierras soft? Ridiculously.
- Does it pill? A little, eventually, especially in high-friction areas. That’s fairly normal with soft merino and alpaca blends. A sweater stone or gentle de-pilling keeps things civilized.
- Is it good for garments? Excellent for garments. Sweaters, shawls, lightweight accessories, elegant layering pieces... this yarn drapes beautifully and doesn’t feel stiff or heavy.
- Is it warm? Yes, but not “trapped in a wool cave” warm. The natural fibers allow for a lot of breathability.
- Does it work for textured stitches? The hand dyed colors are the centerpiece. Some textured stitches may not appear as bold.
